秋后算帳 (qiūhòu-suànzhàng)

1. 原義是指秋收以后結清欠帳,現(xiàn)在常用來比喻等待時機進行報復,有貶義 square accounts after the autumn harvest——wait until after a political movement is over to settle accounts with the leadership or the masses
